Account Management
Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your Khadayata account and personal data at any time. Here is how it works, what gets erased, and what stays.
How to request deletion
Sign in to Khadayata, open your profile settings, and choose "Delete my account" at the bottom of the page. You will be asked to confirm before anything happens.
You have 30 days to change your mind. Your account is not erased right away - for 30 days it is only deactivated. Sign in again during that window and choose "Cancel deletion" to keep everything exactly as it was.
Sign in to delete your account →What is erased
Once the 30 days pass, the following is permanently erased:
- Your profile - name, photo, date of birth, address, profession and other personal details
- Your matrimony profile, photos and horoscope/biodata files
- Your business directory and job listings
- Your connections
- Your login and sign-in details
What stays
Some records stay, for the community and for the law:
- Donation receipts - kept for 7 years, as Indian tax law requires, with the donor name as printed on the receipt
- Posts, comments and condolences you left - kept for the community, shown as written by "Deleted member"
- Booking, payment and scholarship records - kept as the Samaj's financial and administrative record
Can't sign in?
If you can no longer sign in to request deletion yourself, contact the Samaj office.
